Grounds for appeal
An appeal may concern:
- A material factual error.
- Relevant evidence submitted on time but overlooked.
- Inconsistent application of the published criteria.
- An unresolved reviewer conflict.
- A material failure to follow the review procedure.
A different formulation or substantial new evidence normally requires a new application.
Submit your appeal
Use the account linked to the application. Identify the application or award number, decision, grounds, and supporting facts. Refer to the original evidence where relevant.
If an account problem prevents submission, report it to support before the deadline. The reported access failure will be considered when the filing date is assessed.
Appeal review
The acknowledgment target is five business days. A reviewer who did not make the original decision examines the grounds and whether further review is necessary.
The target for a written outcome is 45 calendar days from acceptance of a complete appeal. Any effect of clarification or additional specialist review on timing is explained to the applicant.
Possible outcomes
The appeal may uphold the decision, correct an error, or set it aside for a new review. Any resulting award must meet the applicable conditions and scoring thresholds.
A pending appeal does not restore an inactive award or extend its term. The notice identifies the current status and permitted use.
Outcome and further questions
The written outcome includes reasons. It concludes the formal internal appeal for that decision. Factual corrections can still be raised through support, and rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.
